More Song 2024

Hello everyone,

As we reach the end of the year, it’s time we celebrated the poets who performed at More Song events in 2024. Our headline poets represent some of the most innovative and exciting groundbreaking poets, with some being shortlisted for the T. S. Eliot, Forward Prize and Laurel Prize this year.

We want to thank Rachael Allen, David Mullin, Nasser Hussain, Edwina Attlee, Jazmine Linklater, Kym Deyn, Hannah Copley, Susan Vickerman, Scott Thurston, Hamish Rush, Holly Hopkins, J. R. Carpenter, Liam Bates, Sarah Corbett, Gregory Betts, Naoise Gale, Tom Branfoot, Stefan Tobler, Fran Lock, Qudsia Akhtar, Ophira Gottleib, Bonnie Hancell, Dan Melling and Janette Ayachi for performing at More Song this year. And we also want to thank everyone who read at the open mic, everyone who attended any event, bought a book, hosted our readings, and helped out in any way including The Record Café, Wallers Brewery, Hyde Park Book Club and The 1 in 12 Club, plus Ben Brumpton for his exceptional event posters, Nick Thurston for his limited edition More Song posters, and David Mullin for ephemera, bookmarks and printing.

We’ve got some exciting things lined up for 2025, including a fundraiser pamphlet which will be up for sale soon. We also have this cool new website (www.moresong.co.uk) where you can see an archive of our past events and which we will use to inform you of forthcoming events and projects. We hope to you at our next event on February 6th 2025 at The 1 in 12 Club Library.

Love and solidarity,

Tom and David (More Song).
